LAST TWO SHOWS FOR A LOOOONG TIME

colin has decided to take an opportunity that arose in new york and will be leaving seattle at the end of july. this does not mark the end of haunted horses, it's simply the beginning of a long hiatus period. on saturday, july 10th, we will be playing our second to last show (before going on hiatus) at the Cairo. for those of you who have not had the chance to check us out live, this will be a great show to attend. the last show will be held at the High Line, alongside buddies Wet Paint and USF. it's a side show during the capital hill block party on saturday, july 24th. i can't wait to play this gig, it's going to be such an awesome show.

sorry everyone for the bummer news, but we will be back in no time, full force! --pelly

here is the artwork for the limited edition tapes. we're making a total of 50, made exclusively for the upcoming west coast tour w/Alaskas. we have also added the bonus track "jackals of ash mountain", which makes this tape a complete 4 track ep (as originally intended for the 7 inch). tracks included:

we originally planned on having the new 7" EP "veil after veil of dusty gauze lifted" available for the upcoming west coast tour w/Alaskas. unfortunately, there were a few issues regarding pressing and they will not be available for purchase until june 25th. huge bum out for us, we were really excieted to bring them on tour, but oh well.

GOOD NEWS: we decided to make the EP available via audio cassette, which will also contain a free digital download! there will be 50 limited edition tapes, made exclusively for this tour only. the HH/EE split tape will also be made available.

Due to confusion between the venue and school o' rock (based on the length of their set), unfortunately we will no longer remain on the bill. sorry to anyone who was planning to attend. we may be playing a show there in the near future, which will be a much better conventional show. no principals, no school! -- school is OUT.

just wrapped up recording/mastering the upcoming EP "Veil After Veil Of Thin Dusty Gauze Lifted". this will be a triple track 7" consisting of the songs: 'Desmond', 'Horizons' and 'Medusan Sky'. everything is sounding very solid and we hope to have this available by June 5th.

hey, thanks to everyone who came out to the Neumos show last wednesday... turned out to be an awesome show. i believe we will be playing at the Comet this friday w/Nu Sensae and Shearing Pinx (waiting for confirmation, but i'm pretty sure it's going down). come hang out!

exciting magic news: we will begin recording our first EP this Saturday! the plan is to release it as a 7". we'll be layin all tracks at the Gnome Dome (New Orlando's top floor, aka: our house). there will be a total of four track's on the EP -- not including tracks from the HH/EE split. we're pretty excited to begin and have this ready before the June summer tour, w00 hooo! we will be playing at Healthy Times Fun Club on saturday night (4-10). this will be fun and jam-packed with buddy love. awesome bands on the bill: masters + johnson, stephanie and eel-eater. excited for some some good times with some good friends!

here's something interesting... we're playing at NEUMOS on the 28th. apparently this is some sort of Fish Fry event and we got asked to play it. pretty cool! this line up also includes wet paint, eel-eater and broken nobles. i think there are more bands yet to be added. i'll keep you updated. both shows were a lot of fun. we played in Dillon's dark eerie basement at like 5:30pm, which kinda sucked because it was soo nice it was outside. it was fun none the less.

after that, we packed up all the gear and drove to olympia. there were seven bands playing at this house and we were 5th on the bill. by that time, almost everyone at the party was trashed. it all worked out nicely. here's some videos from that show. (pelly)
